NDG Flute Band came together as a result of a number of people who had been involved in the band fraternity in the past and also people who had been in other bands in the North Down area coming together to form the NDG.

With that in mind the first meeting took place in the upstairs room of the Ambar Bar on Queens parade in Bangor on Wednesday 1st September 2010.

We carried on for a few months with practice in the upstairs lounge then we eventually moved practice to Skipperstone Community Centre in the Whitehill Estate.

The Band has went from strength to strength from its formation and has developed into an excellent marching Band.

The Band got our first uniform for the 2011 marching season,which was a white pilot shirt along with a white peaked cap and sandy colour trousers,which we wore until we got our new uniform for the 12th of July 2013,we kept the white peaked caps and got new tunics and new sandy colour trousers to go along with them.

This is just a brief history history of the formation of the band and i would just like to take this opportunity to thank you for having a look on our site.
